SIPS are a structural component system in which a panel is fabricated of Expanded Polystyrene Insulation and sheets of OSB or Plywood. The panels are bonded under high pressure to create a marvel of modern building systems. Job site construction time is substantially reduced, and the building is tighter and stronger.
Prairie West offers Structural Insulated Panel (SIPS) construction. We use the most precisely engineered products available to build energy efficient homes commercial buildings, agricultural buildings and church buildings. Using SIPS creates a high performance building envelope that is strong, energy efficient, and cost effective. In some situations, a wood or steel post frame construction technique is more appropriate. We are authorized builders for both Energy Panel Systems (wood post frame) and Rigid Building Systems(steel frame). For those who prefer, traditional stick frame construction is also available.

At the time of construction, jobsite waste-disposal is held to a minimum, because SIPS are manufactured by EPS (Energy Panel Systems) off site, pre-cut to provide an absolute minimum of waste. Over time, a reduction in energy of up to 30% is realized, saving both precious natural resources, and lowering your utility costs for the life of the home or building.
